What does an Interior Designer do?
Interior Design is designing the internal structure and layout of buildings to suit the client's requirements. An interior designer will be a person qualified by training and/or experience to plan and supervise the design and execution of interiors and their furnishings, and to organise the various arts and accessories essential to their completion.
The professional interior designer provides a full consultancy service; will be multi-faceted; and will apply creative and technical solutions within a structure to achieve a built interior environment. The professional interior designer is intent on improving the psychological and/or physiological well being of their clients and achieves this by understanding their clients' needs and seeking appropriate solutions. Not to be confused with interior decoration, interior design involves a multitude of technical, analytical, creative skills, and understandings of architectural elements.
Why should I use an Interior designer?
Using an interior designer will give you a professional view and expert advice. The usual comparisons are: solicitor, dentist you wouldn't undertake this type of work yourself so why would you with your home. Using the services of an interior designer is sometimes sold in a way that we will save you money. Although this may be the case what we will do is be more productive and less wasteful with your money/budget; take away the worry and uncertainty and give you our experience and knowledge that we have had on projects just like yours and with clients just like you.
Why should I use Fusion Interior Design?
It has been said that you shouldn't take business personally. Well it's our family business and it's your home so it doesn't get more personal than that! We have been trading for over 10 years. We live locally to our business and for us our business is about reputation and credibility.

How do I work out a budget?
Budget is a critical part of any design programme and a good starting point when agreeing the client/designer brief. It is only fair to brief your designer at the beginning of the
project with some guidelines, as the plan develops, your designer should be working up a clear budget estimate to avoid these concerns. If the budget has overrun in some areas, it is then
entirely possible and practical to 'rob Peter to pay Paul' and redistribute budget allocations. A good designer can, if necessary, re-specify cheaper fabric and furniture alternatives while
retaining the look. Some words of caution - your aim should be to preserve quality. Do not scrimp on the cost of making curtains, sofas and chairs, as this is a false economy.

I live outside the Surrey/Sussex area can you still work for me?
Yes! Our office is in Ewell in Surrey but we can operate anywhere. Usually an initial site visit to your home or premises is needed but after this most of the work is done remotely via email, fax and telephone. On contacting us we can tell you how much it will cost for our visit.
Can Fusion manage my project?
Yes. We can meet all trades on site and deal with all the deliveries. We will open up in the morning and lock up when all the trades have left. We will, of course, make sure the project is following all drawings, layouts and specifications.
