What does an Interior Designer do?
An interior designer enhances interior spaces to achieve a practical and aesthetically pleasing environment for the people who use them. Whether their clients are building, renovating or doing a makeover, the interior designer will plan, research and coordinate the whole project. This includes organising the various art and accessories that complete the overall look.
An interior designer will be qualified by training and experience and have technical, analytical and creative skills, and an understanding of architectural elements.
Why should I use an Interior designer?
First and foremost, an interior designer has the expertise to design a beautiful home that reflects your personality and style. They have resources and contacts that aren’t available to the general public, meaning you’ll have a truly unique home.

What do I get with a Creative Walkthrough®?
Our Creative Walkthrough® gives you the perfect opportunity to ‘pick our brains’ about absolutely any interior design issues or queries you have. Within the two-hour session, carried out in your home, we can usually cover up to two rooms and give practical advice on questions such as:
Do my extension plans really work?
How can I arrange the furniture to make the best of this room?
What colours work best in this room?
I never use this room. What can I do with it?
After the two-hour session, you’ll be left feeling clear and confident about how you can take your project forward.

How do I work out a budget / What are the fees involved?
Setting and managing a budget is a critical part of any design project. You may already have a budget in mind or, if not, we can work with you to estimate the expected costs as we talk through your ideas. We agree on a budget limit with you before any work starts so you’ll always know what you’re going to pay and there won’t be any nasty surprises.
As the plan develops, some areas may overrun. If this happens, we can re-distribute budget allocations and save in other areas, such as choosing cheaper fabrics and furniture alternatives. However, we always aim to preserve quality as scrimping on the cost of soft furnishings is a false economy.
Our fees are fixed and are based on your budget and the work involved to complete your project. We provide a detailed scope of work document that clearly outlines what is covered in our fees, which is agreed before any work starts.
Can Fusion co-ordinate my project?
Yes, we can. We can instruct an architect to get your plans drawn up, apply for planning permission and deal with any obstacles, order products, deal with deliveries, employ tradespeople and schedule in and oversee their work. We can coordinate the project right from the initial planning stage through to putting the last cushion in place.
