Our biggest project to date with Fusion (not our first, and probably not our last!). As usual, we got a lot more than we could imagine ourselves. We wanted bifold doors at the back of our kitchen to bring the garden in to the kitchen, and take the kitchen out to the garden. It required a complete redesign of the kitchen. Jan's creative flair not only solved logistical challenges but painted a pallet that created flow throughout the kitchen and also into the garden. After the design the Fusion team then built our new kitchen and installed beautiful bifold doors. Oh, the kitchen was also better insulated and we had a new gym where the garage was! Thanks to Jan, Jason, Paul and Simon for everything! We love it.

The design process involved 2D drawings and 3D visuals.

If ever you fall out of love with your house or feel you could do better, I would strongly recommend you contact Fusion Interior Design. I have twice and have been delighted with both the results.

On their website, easily found on Google, they have various packages designed to meet the requirements of clients and are happy to talk over the phone to decide what would be the most suitable before committing. I used the Interior Design Service on both projects.

What I liked about Fusion Interior Design initially was that is there isn’t a brand design, Jan will listen to the client to establish their ideas, life style and expectations and then over a period of time make suggestions and give options for the client to consider. It is very much a partnership moving towards an end goal.

Jason, Jan’s partner looked after the hands on side of the design and could not have been better. He was prompt, diligent, clean and very tidy and good company to have in the house.

Fusion Interior Design run a very professional business. They are friendly, helpful, always prompt and good communicators. I felt confident throughout the whole process we were working together to change my home from being “alright” into something I am now very proud of.

I contacted Fusion Interior Design when i was looking to update and redesign the lounge of my home. I found them by doing a Google search and was attracted by their website and years of experience.

When Jan contacted me I explained that I needed her expertise for ideas and also project management. Little did I know what wonderful experience would follow. Jan totally 'got' what I was looking for and we spent hours on shopping trips and also discussing the many options of carpets, fabrics and furniture that she sourced. I felt as though I was working with a friend.

Once my choices were made, Jan created 3D visuals for me which showed exactly how my room would look. After my approval she then booked in the various tradesmen needed and the job ran seamlessly. Every one one the people Jan employed on my behalf has a high standard of work....with a special shout out to Jason, Jan's husband and the other half of Fusion, who also happens to be an excellent painter and decorator.

My room is now finished and I couldn't be happier with the result.

"All in all, what could have been quite a stressful project, making key decisions on spend for the house was in fact really enjoyable."

I appointed Fusion Interior Design using their Creative Walkthrough and Design Blocks service. I was keen to refresh my lounge and bedrooms with some new furniture and accessories. The package was perfect for what I wanted as I was able to tell Jan what I was looking for and she came to my house to assess what would work. Jan then provided me with lots of options and pdf design ideas with all the links for the suggested items that I could consider.

Where I had questions and needed advice, Jan was always on hand and able to guide me and explain her thoughts and ideas. I then ordered the items and Jan came to the house to help dress the room. I have completed the lounge and this included new dining room chairs, armchair, rug, cushions and throws. It looks fabulous and I am delighted with the results. The service I received was excellent and I know that I would not have had the confidence to source these items and design my room without Fusion Interior. In the New Year we will be working on doing the same for a couple of my bedrooms.

I had worked with Fusion before when they helped with some initial designs 10 or so years ago for my house extension.

All in all, what could have been quite a stressful project, making key decisions on spend for the house was in fact really enjoyable because of the confidence I had in Jan's advice on the options I could consider. Given my busy schedule, Jan was always accommodating with her availability and very easy just to pick up the phone to and have a chat. The quote I was given and the timelines given were all met.

“We recently had two bedrooms that we felt needed updating with a fresh new design. We contacted Fusion by email and Jan responded and a date and time was soon sorted that worked for both sides. Jan advised that a "walkthrough" at a fixed cost would be the best method for her to advise us on our requirements. Jan came on time and my wife and I went through the bedrooms together. She advise us on what colours and type of fabric we should use to enhance the appearance of the rooms. After the 2 hour walkthrough she provided a breakdown on what we needed to purchase. We then got a decorator in to revamp the rooms as per Jan's spec. After the decorating work was done and the material (lamps, headboards etc.) had been purchased we invited Jan back for another walkthrough so we could "dress" the walls with pictures and she also advised on what soft furnishes we required to finish off the rooms. We are currently using the spec and Jan will provide the material for the soft furnishings. We find Jan very enthusiastic, knowledgeable and she understands very well what look and at what cost we are after. We have used her services many times throughout our house and are very pleased with the outcome. In short, we would definitely recommend Fusion Interior Design and will be getting Jan back again as we continue to enhance the presentation in our house.”

“After extensive house renovations we did not know where to start with the whole of downstairs and some of upstairs to be redecorated. “I used Fusion Design for a second time after they transformed my bedroom 8 years ago. This time it was for my lounge. I wanted new curtains, a specific wall colour and advice on furniture, carpet colour and colour for a piece of furniture I wanted to paint. “We originally contacted Fusion in 2013 and we are still working with them in 2018. Our first project was for Fusion to come and look at our Hall, kitchen and utility room. Jan’s design knowledge and skill at putting together schemes and coming up with practical design solutions we’re just what we wanted so we decided to commission her to design and carry out the works.

Jason and the tradesmen were very professional and efficient and all the work has been carried out to a very high standard. We continued using Jan to design our study with bespoke furniture and office equipment, then moving on to redecorate 3 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms and more recently our dining room and currently our lounge.

Jan and Jason work very well together organising supplier deliveries and seeing them in when I can’t be there. We have also had access to the many trades they use and because of Jan’s knowledge and contacts we’ve been shown products and suppliers that we wouldn’t have been able to get on the High Street.

“Having to move from a large bungalow to a small retirement flat we turned to Jan and Jason of Fusion Interior Design. The work consisted of pulling everything out of the flat and completely redesigning the kitchen, lounge, bedroom and bathroom to create as much space, storage space and style as possible. “We were stuck! We had a long lounge that needed refreshing, we couldn’t fit the furniture properly and we had to watch the TV twisting our necks. It just didn’t work but we had no idea what to do. "Our house has been transformed"

“We originally invited Fusion to re-design our sitting room from scratch. At that time we had no idea what to expect. Jan began by familiarising herself with the sorts of things we liked and disliked. She invited our comments on a folio she had prepared of different styles and types of design and used this information to propose a room layout and colour scheme that would meet our requirements. It was clear at this early stage that we had chosen the right person to work with. Jan showed that she fully understood our “brief”, but this did not inhibit her from coming up with a series of good ideas that would never have occurred to us. For example, simply re-positioning a door gave the sitting-room much more character; and a different furniture layout created extra space and brought the different parts of the room elegantly together.
There were many other benefits to using Fusion. First, and perhaps foremost, we were under none of the normal pressures associated with running a project. Jan organised all the ordering and deliveries; drew up and controlled a sensible timetable for the building, plumbing and decorating work; and also arranged the measuring and installation of curtains, carpets, and so on. Everything went smoothly. Another advantage of using Fusion was the help and confidence we were given in choosing colours and designs for the fabrics, wallpaper and furniture and fittings. Jan did not overwhelm and confuse us with myriad choices, but usually limited the selection to about half a dozen items that would each have fitted the agreed brief. Jan has a great feeling for colour and what would work and we were very happy with the choices made. Finally, it is important to note what a great team Jan brought together on this job. The quality of their workmanship was superb and they took pride in it. We could not have been more pleased with the finished room.
On the basis of this experience we then commissioned Fusion to carry out a larger-scale project. This involved some structural work, including dividing one very large bedroom into two doubles, enlarging two windows, and creating a new bathroom and an en-suite shower room. Jan arranged for an architect to draw up plans and to secure the necessary planning approval for this work. We also asked Jan to re-design the hall and landing and two other bedrooms.
The help and advice we received were of the high standard we had already come to expect. Everything proceeded as planned and, again, we were delighted with the results. Nothing was ever too much trouble for Fusion and they were on hand to resolve problems and any final snags.
To summarise. Our house has been transformed. Each room now has its own character: but each is comfortable to live in and has not been over-designed. Fusion took all the stress out of what for us would have been a difficult refurbishment project. It also has to be said just how enjoyable it has been to work with Jan, Jason and the Fusion team. We would certainly recommend Fusion and we would be happy to use them again.”
